Program overview
The Low Carbon Manufacturing Grant Program will help manufacturers undertake large scale, productivity enhancing investments to enable them to participate in global supply chains for renewable energy and low carbon components, supporting Victoria’s transition to net zero.
Eligible businesses can access these competitive grants through two streams:
- Business Growth Stream
- Business Readiness Stream
What are the benefits for businesses?
The Business Growth Stream is an initiative to assist Victorian manufacturers to capitalise on opportunities to produce products or components that support the transition to decarbonisation and net zero emissions.
The Business Readiness Stream assists small to medium size Victorian manufacturers to access business services, advice, or expertise in order to participate in low carbon and renewable energy supply chains.
What support is available?
Business Growth Stream
Under the Business Growth Stream, eligible applicants may apply for competitive grants of between $50,000 and $250,000 (excl GST). All grants must be matched by a minimum cash co-contribution of $2 for every $1 granted.
Business Readiness Stream
Under the Business Readiness Stream, eligible applicants may apply for competitive grants of up to $50,000 (excl. GST). All grants must be matched by a minimum cash co-contribution of $1 for every $1 granted.
When are the opening and closing dates for applications?
The Business Growth Stream opens on 7 October 2022 and closes on 30 November 2022 at 5pm (AEDT).
The Business Readiness Stream opens on 7 October 2022 and closes 17 February 2023 at 5pm (AEDT).
