We recently closed applications for the positions of chairperson and members of the Multicultural Business Ministerial Council and Small Business Ministerial Council. Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest and applied to join these Councils.

Both Councils provide advice and feedback to the Minister for Small Business on a broad range of issues affecting small businesses in Victoria. The Councils provide a voice for small business across government and offer an opportunity to make a positive impact for Victorian business owners.

Each Council will have a chairperson and 8 to 10 Council members with these representing people that have experience working with the Victorian small business sector or working in a Victorian small business.

The Victorian Government is committed to diversity on government boards, and we encouraged applications from women, people of all ages, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those in the LGBTIQ+ community as well as those from rural or regional Victoria.
