Am I eligible for the $3000 Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund circuit breaker payment?

If you received a grant for through the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund (LHVF), you had an active liquor license for the premises on 16 February 2021 and the venue is still operating, you will receive an automatic $3000 per premises circuit breaker payment.

What do I need to do to receive this payment?

Nothing. This payment will be automatic for eligible businesses into the bank account you nominated in your original application that received an earlier Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant. The new payment will be paid into the bank account you nominated in your original application.

I received a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant however I no longer hold my liquor licence and/or operate the venue. Will I receive this payment if I run other venues or business activities?

You will only receive this payment if you still held the liquor licence on 16 February 2021 and operated the premises that received the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant.

I received a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant and still operate the same premises but I have changed my liquor licence. Will I still receive this payment?

Yes, you will be eligible to receive the $3000 Circuit Breaker Action Payment if you still operate the same premises and had an active liquor licence at 16 February 2021.

How much money will I receive?

Eligible grant recipients will receive $3000 per premises that received a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant.

I still have not received a decision about my Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant application. Will I receive the Circuit Breaker Action Payment?

Outstanding grant decisions will be made within the next two weeks, unless you have not responded to requests for further documentation or evidence of eligibility. If you successfully receive a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant, you will also receive the one-off circuit breaker action payment.

When will I receive this payment?

Payments to eligible recipients will begin to be processed from 3 March 2021. Depending on your bank, the payment may take up to 5 business days to reach your account.

I was eligible for a grant from both the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund and the third round of the Business Support Fund. I was paid the Business Support Fund Grant, and received notification that I was successful under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund. Can I get the $3000 payment?

All eligible businesses that received a grant under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund and are still operating the premises will receive the $3000 per premises payment, including businesses that first received support under the third round of the Business Support Fund.

If you did not receive a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant or successful outcome notification, you are not eligible for the $3000 payment. You can still apply for the Business Costs Assistance Program grant or the Victorian Accommodation Support Program, if you meet the eligibility criteria.

I have been notified that I was overpaid for my Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant and need to pay back the overpayment. Can you deduct the $3000 circuit breaker action payment from the amount owing?

Yes, if you are eligible to receive the $3000 Circuit Breaker Action Payment, we can deduct the payment from the amount owing in your overpayment. If you are not eligible to receive the additional payment, then your amount owing stays the same.

I run a licensed premises and received a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant. I also lost accommodation bookings due to the circuit breaker. Can I also apply for the Victorian Accommodation Support Program?

Yes, you can.

I applied for a Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grant and was not eligible. Can I still receive the LHVF circuit breaker action payment?

No. You can apply for support under the Business Costs Assistance Program or the Victorian Accommodation Support Program if you meet the eligibility criteria for those programs.

My business lost more than $3000 during this circuit breaker action. Can I apply for more?

No. The payment is capped at $3000 per eligible premises.

I received a grant under another Business Victoria program. Will I also receive a Circuit Breaker Action Payment for those programs?

You will only receive the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund circuit breaker action payment if you received a grant previously under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund.

If you have received a grant from another Business Victoria program, such as one of the Business Support Fund grants, you can still apply for the Business Costs Assistance Program grant or the Victorian Accommodation Support Program if you meet the eligibility criteria.
