When are the online sales days in 2025?

If you haven’t already planned your sales campaigns for 2025 – or want to keep an eye on events for upcoming years – here are some online shopping sale days to mark on your calendar.

Click Frenzy: various dates throughout the year

Born in Australia in 2012 as a response to Cyber Monday, Click Frenzy has some of Australia’s biggest sales throughout the year.

The main Click Frenzy sale happens in November, with new, smaller themed sales in the middle of the year. Here are some of the upcoming Click Frenzy sales.

  • Click Frenzy Mayhem, Tuesday 13 May to Friday 16 May
  • Tech Frenzy, Tuesday 24 June to Friday 27 June
  • Click Frenzy Glow, Tuesday 15 July to Friday 18 July
  • Travel Frenzy, Wednesday 27 August to Sunday 31 August

Be sure to check out the Click Frenzy website every few months. For the latest sale days visit Click Frenzy.

Mother’s Day – 11 May 2025

For many small businesses, Mother’s Day will be one of the biggest trading days of the year. Australians are expected to spend 1 billion nationwide, with $82 being the average price of presents.

Plan your sales and promotions early in the year and begin promoting them heading into April. That way you can capitalise on increased foot traffic and online searches.

Father’s Day – 7 September 2025

Father's Day comes close to Mother’s Day sales with Australians spending $820 million. The most common products bought are alcohol and food, clothing, books, games and music.

Singles’ Day – 11 November 2025

Falling on 11 November each year, Singles’ Day is an unofficial celebration of single people in China.

Singles' Day is the largest retail shopping day in the world, and Australian brands and products have become some of the most sought-after for Chinese consumers shopping internationally. In 2023, Singles Day finished with $156 billion in estimated sales.

Singles’ Day deals are most often sold through international marketplaces , but that doesn’t mean you can’t join hundreds of other Aussie brands and offer your own deals in-store and online to capitalise on the hype. You might also pick up local purchases, with the celebration starting to gain traction in Australia.

Black Friday – 28 November 2025

Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year around the world and in Australia.

It’s a great opportunity to grow your small business as more consumers take advantage of discounts throughout November to get their Christmas shopping done early.

Australian shoppers and retailers have quickly taken to Black Friday since it first graced our shores in 2011. Black Friday isn’t officially until Friday 28 November 2025, but the sales seem to start earlier every year. If you haven’t had a Black Friday sale before, this might be the year to start.

Small Business Saturday – 29 November 2025

Wedged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday. The latest addition to the Black Friday weekend, the day is a reminder to shoppers to keep it local and visit smaller brick-and-mortar stores.

The past few years have fortified the ‘shop local’ movement. Shopping locally remains an important part of Australian shopping habits. Research by e-commerce platform Lightspeed Commerce found that 25% of Australian shoppers prefer unique/locally made products.

The research also went on to find that 34% of Australian consumers prefer to shop locally to access special deals. This means there’s no better way to spread the word about your business than Small Business Saturday on 29 November 2025.

There’s more where that came from. Read the research paper to help your business get the latest insights on Australian shoppers. Visit the White Paper: Retail Insights & Shopper Sentiment for 2024 page.

Cyber Monday – 1 December 2025

Cyber Monday falls on the Monday after Black Friday. This year Cyber Monday will be on Monday 1 December 2025.

Cyber Monday works especially well for consumers who are looking for a bargain but aren’t drawn to the crowds or urgency of Black Friday. It’s also a great opportunity to catch more hesitant customers who might want to research different products and price-match before committing to a purchase.

Many retailers will promote different deals over the sales weekend to try to catch repeat business. For more on the latest sales on Cyber Monday, visit the Finder website.

Boxing Day – 26 December 2025

You probably don’t have to be reminded about Boxing Day sales, which start the day after Christmas on 26 December. While Black Friday has certainly given Boxing Day a run for its money in recent years, Boxing Day isn’t going anywhere.

The increase in international brands in Australia, and the ease and convenience of online shopping, have pushed Boxing Day sales more online each year. Plus, if your customer is someone who’d prefer to shop while watching the test cricket at home, they’ll probably thank you for it.
