Click Frenzy: various dates throughout the year

Born in Australia in 2012 as a response to Cyber Monday, Click Frenzy has some of Australia’s biggest sales throughout the year.

The main Click Frenzy sale happens in November, with new, smaller themed sales in the middle of the year. Be sure to check out the Click Frenzy website every few months. For the latest sale days visit Click Frenzy.

Mother’s Day – Sunday 10 May 2026

For many small businesses, Mother’s Day will be one of the biggest trading days of the year. Australians are expected to spend 1 billion nationwide, with an average of $141 being spent on presents.

Plan your sales and promotions early in the year and begin promoting them heading into April. That way you can capitalise on increased foot traffic and online searches.

Roy Morgan has more great stats on Mother’s Day sales.

End of financial year sales – Tuesday 30 June 2026

End of financial year (EOFY) is a great opportunity for any business to increase its sales by selling new and old products or services.

The most common use of an end of financial year sale is to sell old stock that might be perishable or seasonal. The balance can be difficult though – do you sell hard to clear stock at a discount in favour of freeing up storage space or reducing the need for storage altogether?

Planning early, whether it’s for old or new stock coming in, is essential for any kind of sale. This includes marketing, stock ordering, manufacturing and staff hiring/management.

Some quick tips include marketing as early as possible, highlighting tax-time benefits (if applicable) and providing clear delivery options and sale cut-off dates.

Father’s Day – Sunday 6 September 2026

Father’s Day is expected to see around $720 million spent on gifts with an average of $145 per gift – slightly more than Mother's Day.

The most common products bought are alcohol and food, clothing and footwear, grooming products, tech items, along with experiences such as dinners or trips.

Singles’ Day – Wednesday 11 November 2026

Falling on 11 November each year, chosen because the date is 11/11; a symbolic representation of singles, the day is an unofficial celebration of single people.

Originating in China, Singles’ Day has surprisingly become the world’s largest retail shopping day, beating even Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Australian businesses are taking advantage by increasing production and running sales for Singles’ Day with many of our homegrown products being sought after for Chinese consumers shopping internationally. In 2025, the estimated global sales of Singles’ Day was $238 billion.

Singles’ Day deals are most often sold through international marketplaces, but that doesn’t mean you can’t join hundreds of other Aussie brands and offer your own deals in-store and online to capitalise on the hype. You might also pick up local purchases, with the celebration starting to gain traction in Australia.

Black Friday – Friday 27 November 2026

Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year around the world and in Australia.

It’s a great opportunity to grow your small business as more consumers take advantage of discounts throughout November to get their Christmas shopping done early.

Australian shoppers and retailers have quickly taken to Black Friday since it first graced our shores in 2011. Black Friday isn’t officially until Friday 27 November 2026, but the sales seem to start earlier every year. If you haven’t had a Black Friday sale before, this might be the year to start.

Small Business Saturday – Saturday 28 November 2026

Wedged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday. The latest addition to the Black Friday weekend, the day is a reminder for shoppers to keep it local and visit smaller brick-and-mortar stores.

The past few years have fortified the ‘shop local’ movement. Shopping locally remains an important part of Australian shopping habits. Research by Roy Morgan reveals 73% of Australians would be willing to buy more Australian-made products to avoid reliance on imports.

Other key statistics include:

  • 72% of Australians are willing to pay more for locally made goods.
  • 84% of Australians are more likely to buy a product if it’s Australian-made.

This means there’s no better way to spread the word about your business than Small Business Saturday on 28 November 2026.

There’s more where that came from. For more information on Australian-made products, read the Roy Morgan research.

Cyber Monday – Monday 30 November 2026

Cyber Monday falls on the Monday after Black Friday. This year, Cyber Monday will be Monday 30 November 2026.

Cyber Monday works especially well for consumers who are looking for a bargain but aren’t drawn to the crowds or urgency of Black Friday. It’s also a great opportunity to catch more hesitant customers who might want to research different products and price-match before committing to a purchase.

Many retailers will promote different deals over the sales weekend to try to catch repeat business. For more on the latest sales on Cyber Monday, visit the Finder website.

Boxing Day – Saturday 26 December 2026

You probably don’t have to be reminded about Boxing Day sales, which start the day after Christmas on 26 December. While Black Friday has certainly given Boxing Day a run for its money in recent years, Boxing Day isn’t going anywhere.

The increase in international brands in Australia, and the ease and convenience of online shopping, have pushed Boxing Day sales more online each year. Plus, if your customer is someone who’d prefer to shop while watching the test cricket at home, they’ll probably thank you for it.
