These sessions will explain how the Local Jobs First Policy and social Procurement Framework apply to suppliers.
- Local Jobs First Policy
- Social Procurement Framework.
The Social Procurement Framework was established in April 2018 as a whole-of-government approach to generate social value above and beyond the value of goods, services or construction procured by the Victorian Government. It is the dual responsibility of DJPR and the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF).
DJPR is hosting several information sessions to help suppliers as they implement the Local Jobs First and the Social Procurement Framework. These info sessions are open to all those involved or want to be involved with businesses that supply to government projects. Afternoon tea is provided.
Come along and hear from the OIPJ, the Local Jobs First Commissioner Don Matthews, the Industry Capability Network, representatives from the Victorian Government discussing the Social Procurement Framework, and Tom Ingham, DJPR's Procurement Director.
