The Victorian Government recently announced 2 new programs to improve business recovery and resilience and to support mental health in business communities.

These come as businesses across the state grapple with continued stage 3 and 4 Stay at Home restrictions.

Business recovery and resilience mentoring program

The latest in a range of programs to help businesses ride out the coronavirus (COVID‑19) pandemic is the Business Recovery and Resilience Mentoring Program, which launched 19 August 2020. Through this program, eligible business owners and sole traders can be matched with a suitable mentor who will offer advice on their business's future.

Mentees will have access to up to 4 sessions over 3 months and at the end will receive a detailed action plan that's tailored to their business.

Small Business mental health and wellbeing support program

Last week the Victorian Government announced a mental health and wellbeing program for small to medium-sized businesses and sole traders. The $26 million program includes training to boost mental health capabilities in local business communities and a Partners in Wellbeing hotline for one-on-one support to business owners.
