New funding of $282.5 million will support 90,000 Victorian businesses and sole traders impacted by the extension to lockdown restrictions that came into effect at 11:59pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021.

Almost $7 billion has been provided in direct economic support for businesses over the course of the pandemic, including more than $500 million through the May to June restrictions.
New support programs
21 July 2021 Top-Up Payment – Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two and Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021
Recipients of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two will receive an additional $2800.
Recipients of the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 will receive an additional $4200.
These are in addition to the 16 July 2021 Top-Up Payments and paid automatically to successful applicants.

Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two and Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 – Extension
Businesses that had not previously applied or have since become eligible to apply for these grants, may apply for July lockdown support payments and will be considered outside the automatic top-up process.

Impacted Public Events Support Program
Eligible public events and suppliers to those public events affected by July lockdown restrictions will receive up to $25,000 and $10,000 respectively through the Impacted Public Events Support Program.

Live Performance Support Programs – Presenters and Suppliers
A new round of Live Performance Support programs will provide up to $7000 for presenters and up to $2000 for suppliers.

Alpine Business Supplement
Eligible alpine businesses will receive an extra $3000, on top of any entitlements under Licenced Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 or Business Costs Assistance Package Round Two.

Sporting Club Grants Program
The Sporting Club Grants Program will provide $2000 grants for community sport and active recreation organisations for events cancelled or postponed as a result of the public health restrictions.

Commonwealth Government COVID‑19 Disaster Payment
Individuals who have lost hours or income may also be eligible for financial support through the Commonwealth Government’s COVID‑19 Disaster Payment.
Most microbusinesses not registered for GST are eligible for the COVID‑19 Disaster Payment of $600 or $375 per week.
To further prioritise support for microbusinesses, the Victorian Government is establishing a concierge service to help these businesses access this support.
