The Victorian Government is supporting businesses with much-needed digital workers through its $64 million Digital Jobs program.

Through the program, up to 5000 mid-career Victorians will undergo a six-month upskilling program that includes 12 weeks of industry-backed training through some of Australia's top training providers. At the end of the program, workers are placed into a digital role in a participating business and supported by a $5000 wage subsidy.

The Digital Jobs program is a cost-effective way for businesses to bring in new skills and talent, and build a digitally savvy workforce ready to respond to Victoria's ever-growing need for tech skills across all sectors.

Businesses looking for digital talent can register interest in the program.

The first cohort of 450 participants is set to start industry placements in October. The program will run over the next three years.
