The Victorian Government has announced density limits will lift on small to medium-sized venues and outdoor non-seated venues across Victoria.
From 28 May, venues such as restaurants, bars, live music venues, nightclubs and places of worship less than 400 square metres can host gatherings of up to 200 people per space. These venues currently operate under a limit of one person per 2 square metres.
Density quotients will also lift on outdoor non-seated venues such as:
- recreation facilities
- community sport
- pools
- tourism services
- non-seated outdoor entertainment (for example, zoos).
To keep Victoria safe and businesses operating, existing COVIDSafe settings and electronic record-keeping requirements still apply. Visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au for the current COVIDSafe requirements for Victorian businesses.
