The Victorian Government is now offering grants of up to $25,000 to eligible business events held in metropolitan Melbourne before the end of 2022.

The National Business Events Program will revitalise Melbourne's business events sector and boost interstate visitors to the city.

Eligible events include conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, workshops, seminars or meetings.

To be eligible for funding, events must:

  • have a minimum 2-day program
  • attract at least 150 in-person delegates
  • have 30% or more of the patrons coming from interstate
  • be held in metropolitan Melbourne before 31 December 2022.

The grant money can be used on venue hire, accommodation, transport and other event costs, with the aim of spreading the benefits across different businesses in Victoria's events supply chain, such as hotels and hospitality businesses.

Applications are open now until 30 June 2021 or until funding is exhausted.
