The Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program is now open, which means customers can claim back 25% on dining and entertainment experiences across the state.

The program encourages people to get out and enjoy the world-class dining and entertainment experiences Victoria has to offer.

For dining, customers can claim when they spend $40 or more on eligible expenses at cafes, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, wineries and other eligible hospitality venues. The purchases can be made anywhere in Victoria, except the City of Melbourne which was covered by Midweek Melbourne Money.

Entertainment rebates are available when $40 or more is spent on experiences anywhere in Melbourne and Victoria, on any day of the week. It includes cinemas, museums, live performances, zoos, theme parks and more.

The program applies to eligible purchases made on or after 29 March. Up to $125 in combined rebates for dining and entertainment is available per customer. Anyone with a valid Australian bank account can apply.

If your business or venue is among those eligible for the program, your customers can claim back 25% on eligible purchases. Businesses don’t have to register to be part of the program.

All you have to do is provide your customers with a printed or electronic itemised proof of purchase or tax invoice. The proof of purchase must include your business name, purchase date, items purchased and transaction total (including GST). Proofs of purchase that are handwritten or in languages other than English cannot be accepted.

Customers can then upload their receipt via the secure Victorian Dining Program website or via the secure Victorian Entertainment Program website.

Rebates are available on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. Customers are encouraged to submit their claim quickly to avoid missing out.

A Business Information Pack with details of how to get involved plus digital promotional assets, can be downloaded from the 'For business' section of the Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program website.
