Scheduled for Sunday 24 March 2024, the event will have over 70 exhibitors. These include award-winning cheesemakers, boutique beer, cider and winemakers. There will be vendors dishing up sensational savoury morsels and luscious desserts. This is your best chance to try some of the region’s finest food and wine.

Entertainment highlights feature an all-day music stage. There will be performances from Reed Street Band, Lara Big Band and Wildflower Trio.

Additionally, there will be a master and apprentice cooking competition. Throughout the day you’ll see leading local chefs team up with culinary students from The Gordon. The chefs will mentor and work with their students to compete against another master and apprentice team. Celebrity chef, Simon Toohey will help judge the competition.

This festival will have beautiful views of the Pirra Homestead, just an hour west of Melbourne. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic rug and enjoy the wide variety of food, drinks and entertainment on offer. The Lara Food & Wine Festival is a great opportunity to support some of the best Victorian local businesses.

Tickets are $10 for anyone 18 and over, kids under 18 enter for free. Every ticket gives you the chance to win the gate prize draw. This includes a $1,000 travel voucher from Geelong Travel, as well as loads of gift vouchers to the amazing local restaurants that Lara has to offer.
