Multiculturalism is a core part of our Victorian identity and our way of life. Victoria is home to people who speak 290 languages and have 314 different ancestries. It is a place where anyone can belong.
Cultural Diversity Week is a time to celebrate Victoria's diverse and influential multicultural communities.

Prevent discrimination in the workplace
Cultural Diversity Week is an opportunity to upskill your team with cultural diversity tools and courses.
Promote cultural diversity and prevent discrimination in the workplace by completing the Australian Human Rights Commission Workplace Cultural Diversity Tool with your team.
Book a course on human rights and equality through the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.
Host an event
Events celebrating multiculturalism bring people together. Consider planning a lunch where staff members contribute different cuisines or hold a team event offering cultural lessons such as a cooking workshop, arts and crafts or performance classes.
This can create a better working environment for everyone involved.

Support Victoria’s Multicultural Business Precincts
Cultural Diversity Week brings Victorians together to recognise the benefits of diversity and showcase the many cultures that have shaped our multiculturalism.
It’s a great time to visit your favourite businesses in one of the many multicultural business precincts across our state. From Dandenong to Footscray, Carlton to Mentone, Richmond to Shepparton and beyond, you’ll find yourself amongst communities weaving the history and story of diversity, inclusiveness and opportunity in Victoria.
You’ll also find many local councils are working with their community to host free Cultural Diversity Week events. These are great opportunities to connect and learn about local small businesses in your area.
