New upgrades bring colour and life to Victoria’s multicultural precincts.

Victoria’s multicultural business precincts are about to get a colourful new face-lift, with more than 35 neighbourhoods across the state receiving upgrades.

Through the Multicultural Business Precinct Revitalisation Program, 37 council‑led projects will deliver everything from new lighting and public art to upgraded gathering spaces, community hubs and shopfronts.

These projects are designed to give a boost to traders and strengthen the cultural heartbeat of local neighbourhoods for all to enjoy.

In Geelong West, a new pocket park at Yuille and Pakington Streets will become a home for cultural events, art installations and community catch‑ups, encouraging visitors to explore the surrounding cafés and shops.

St Albans will see Victoria Square illuminated with cultural lanterns, creating a safer, more inviting night‑time environment while celebrating the area’s rich multicultural identity.

Further north, Nhill is working with the local community to shape a new multicultural hub. The space will celebrate the idea of shared meals, performances and community connection.

Victoria thrives on its multicultural spirit. With more than 735,000 small businesses across the state, these upgrades are about building neighbourhoods that feel connected and full of possibility.
