Victoria is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) by highlighting the achievements and leadership of women in workplaces and communities.
Celebrated every year on 8 March, International Women’s Day recognises the achievements of women worldwide.
This year’s theme, Balance the Scales, encourages action to create fairer opportunities for all.
Below is a list of some of the ways businesses can be involved in International Women’s Day:
- share staff stories to raise the profile of women who are leading in your business or community
- join local initiatives that celebrate women’s achievements
- participate in local art or storytelling projects that recognise and celebrate women
- create opportunities for professional development for women in your business or community.
Together, we can help strengthen equality, visibility and representation for women across the state.
