1. Guidelines for Use
The Business Victoria logo must appear on all public materials for your funded project or activity. Its size and position should reflect the level of support from Business Victoria compared to other supporters or sponsors. See below for minimum size, spacing, and other guidelines.
2. Logo Options
There are two variations of the logo. A pattern logo and a single colour logo.
The pattern logo should always be considered first for placement. The primary navy logo is strictly the only colour to be used for the pattern logo. The below percentages of the navy must be adhered to. No other colours should be applied to the pattern logo.
Use the single-colour logo if the pattern logo is hard to read because of contrast or background colour. You can use any of the primary colours from the Business Victoria colour palette below.
For consistency only use the exact colour specifications outlined below.
For printed material, use the Pantone Matching System (PMS ) or 4-colour process (CMYK) breakdown for each colour. For digital or on-screen applications, use the RGB, HEX or websafe breakdowns.
3. Logo Placement in Relation to Other Organisations
- Place the phrase "Supported by" next to the Business Victoria logo to show its role as a supporter or funder. This makes clear the Victorian Government is supporting the project, event or activity and highlights the lead organisation’s role as the key driver.
- For projects, events or activities with multiple supporters, use phrases like "Major Sponsor," "Supporting Partners," or "Media Sponsors" to reflect each organisation’s level of support. In this case, you may not need to use "Supported by" next to the Business Victoria logo. For advice, you can check in with your Business Victoria contact.
- Keep the layout consistent to ensure all logos are shown clearly and fairly, with enough space around each one.
4. Guidance for Size
Minimum size requirements
When used in print, the logo must not be any smaller than 10mm in height. Please note the image below is not the actual size and is for reference only.
When used on screen, the logo must not be any smaller than 60px in height. Please note the image below is not the actual size and is for reference only.
Clear Space Around the Logo
To keep the logo clear and easy to read, there must be a minimum amount of space around it:
- For printed materials, leave clear space equal to 50% of the height of the "V" in Victoria.
- For digital screens, leave clear space equal to 20% of the height of the "V" in Victoria.
Whenever possible, try to leave more space than the minimum.
Note: The image below is not the actual size and is just for reference.
Size relationship
When using the logos in a partnership or sponsorship, make sure the sizes look balanced. The Business Victoria logo and the partner organisation's logo should be similar in size and look equal.
5. Other Logo Use Requirements
- The logo elements cannot be split, resized or coloured individually.
- No alterations or distortions can be made to the logo device.
- The logo is not to be redrawn or hand duplicated.
