About the performance and development plan template

Create a performance and development agreement plan in collaboration with each of your employees. In the plan:

  • List the tasks and areas of responsibilities relevant to the position.
  • Describe what what performing well in the job might look like and include measurable targets if possible.
  • Compare the employee's actual performance against the targets and description of ideal performance.

Aim to check back in with the employee and review their progress every quarter or every 6 months so you can discuss any performance shortcomings or barriers to achieving targets.
