About the selection criteria template

Base your key selection criteria off the job description developed for the role.

When writing your selection criteria:

  • Make sure your selection factors are based on the competencies you need.
  • Keep in mind how important each selection factor is (for example, is it required or optional?).

Once you've held your job interview, rate your candidate on each selection factor. The highest score should be the preferred candidate.
