Overview

The Business Costs Assistance Program Round Three 12 August 2021 Top-Up, jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments, provides additional support to eligible small to medium businesses in sectors affected by the current restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne.

Successful recipients of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension that operate a business in metropolitan Melbourne will receive an additional $2800.

The 12 August 2021 Top-Up for metropolitan Melbourne will be processed and paid automatically.

Who is eligible for the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Three 12 August 2021 Top-Up for metropolitan Melbourne?

To receive this payment, businesses must have received a grant under the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension program.

Businesses must also operate in one of the following metropolitan Local Government Areas to be eligible for this round of funding.

Information for ineligible grant applicants

Businesses that did not receive a grant under the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension and that do not operate in metropolitan Melbourne are not eligible to receive the 12 August 2021 Top-Up for metropolitan Melbourne.

Businesses may be eligible for other assistance through other Victorian Government programs, including the reintroduced Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme, which will be available to businesses with an annual turnover of less than $50 million that have suffered a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to the pandemic.

Payment amount

The additional payment to an eligible business is $2800.

You do not need to apply for this payment, it will be automatically paid to eligible businesses.

Processing your payment

We will automatically process the 12 August 2021 Top-Up for metropolitan Melbourne for all eligible businesses. It will be paid into the same bank account nominated in your original application to the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension.

If your bank details have changed, please contact Business Victoria.

Do I need to apply?

No. You do not need to apply for the 12 August 2021 Top-Up. It is an automatic payment to all successful recipients of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two and July Extension that operate a business in metropolitan Melbourne.
