How is this program different to the broader Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two, which closed on 24 June?

This targeted stream will support TAB Agency businesses that were unable to operate during the May to June 2021 COVID-19 restrictions, but were not captured in the broader Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two.

Eligible businesses must be a TAB (Totalisator Agency Board) Agent with a physical storefront (within ANZSIC class 9209).

This program has unique guidelines which you should read in full before applying.

Why did I receive this invitation?

You have been identified as the owner of a TAB Agency that was unable to operate normally during the May to June 2021 COVID-19 restrictions period, but whose ANZSIC class was not captured under the broader stream of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two. You are therefore invited to apply for a grant under this program.

I run a TAB agency with a physical storefront. What documentation or evidence do I need to complete an application?

You need to provide:

  • your wagering ID number issued by Tabcorp
  • your Unique ID for this program (at the top of your invite)
  • current proof of identity document such as a driver licence or learner permit, Australian passport, Medicare card, or foreign passport with an Australian visa.

How much funding is available?

Businesses in metropolitan Melbourne can receive a $5000 grant, and those in regional Victoria can receive a $2500 grant.

Successful applicants will also receive both the $2000 16 July 2021 Top-Up Payment and $2800 21 July 2021 Top-Up Payment announced by the Premier in July 2021.

If your application is successful, these payments will be processed at the same time.

I’m not the owner of the business identified in the email. What should I do?

If you are not authorised to act on behalf of the eligible business, please do not apply. Forward this invitation to the business owner for them to action, or contact the Business Victoria hotline on 13 22 15.

I’m the business owner but would rather have my accountant or authorised representative deal with the application. Can I pass the invitation email to them?

If you are the business owner, you can forward this email to a person you authorise, such as an accountant, who can complete and submit an application on your behalf.

You will need to ensure they are listed as an authorised contact against your Australian Business Number (ABN) details on the Australian Business Register (ABR).

I know of other businesses in my industry who did not receive an invitation to apply. Can I forward this email to them?

No. This targeted stream of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two is by invitation only and this link is for your use only.

If you know of other businesses in your industry you think might be eligible, please encourage them to contact the Business Victoria hotline directly on 13 22 15.

You may only receive a grant for the broader Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the targeted stream, not both.

How long do I have to apply for this program?

You must submit your application by 11:59pm on Tuesday 10 August 2021.

How long does an application take to be processed?

  • your business is, or notice has been given that it will be, placed under external administration
  • there is any petition for bankruptcy,or to wind up, or to deregister a company or business

Yes, you can.  Each ABN is eligible for one payment.
