The Boosting Business Skills Mentoring program was announced with the Economic Growth Statement on 10 December 2024. This program will provide up to 1,000 small business owners with mentoring business support.

What mentoring support will businesses get?

The Boosting Business Skills Mentoring program will provide dedicated support to help small businesses navigate challenges, build capacity and achieve measurable success.

Eligible businesses will receive up to 3, free 1-hour mentoring sessions with an experienced professional over a 3-month period.

Mentors will work with businesses to help them achieve positive uplift, build resilience and capability, grow and innovate.

Which businesses can access mentoring?

The Boosting Business Skills Mentoring program will prioritise mentoring for businesses with high growth potential to ensure they get the support needed to grow sustainably and create jobs.

The program is available for businesses that operate within the 5 priority sectors identified in the Economic Growth Statement:

  • advanced manufacturing and defence
  • health technologies and medical research
  • circular economy
  • digital technologies
  • agribusiness.

The program is expected to help up to 1,000 Victorian small businesses.
