October is Indigenous Business Month, a time to celebrate, connect with and support First Peoples businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations.
Celebrating First Peoples business success
Now in its 12th year, Indigenous Business Month celebrates the achievements, knowledge, innovation and self-determination of First Peoples businesses.
Across Victoria, from small towns to urban centres, First Peoples-owned businesses are essential parts of their communities. They create jobs, share their local knowledge, build strong relationships and make a valuable contribution to economic strength and wellbeing.
This year’s theme, ‘Local and Connected’, encourages everyone to ask, ‘who is doing business near me and how can I make genuine connections?’
How Victorian businesses can get involved
There are many ways you can get to know your local First Peoples businesses and build connections.
You can:

- explore partnership and collaboration opportunities

Even small actions help increase awareness, build connections and support First Peoples businesses throughout Victoria.
