What is the definition of a multicultural business precinct?
Multicultural business precincts are centres of economic activity where a substantial proportion of the business owners and operators are either from a specific culture or a diverse range of cultures or countries of origin. These include precincts that have a history of cultural diversity and continuing connections to diverse communities.

- Applications are checked for eligibility.
- Eligible applications are scored by a panel based on project alignment, need, business support and feasibility.
- All submitted information is reviewed.
- Due diligence checks may include checking if the proposal has received other Victorian Government funding and assessing the council's track record in delivering similar projects.
- A review panel recommends funding to the Minister for Small Business and Employment, who makes the final decision.
