1 ANZAC Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day are restricted trading days.
2 The National Day of Mourning will be a normal trading day with no additional trading restrictions imposed.
3 As New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, the following Monday is an additional public holiday.
4 Melbourne Cup Day is a public holiday across all of Victoria unless alternate local holiday has been arranged by a non-metro council.
5 As Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the following Tuesday is an additional public holiday.
Employee entitlements on public holidays
Employees must be paid at least their base pay rate for all hours worked on public holidays.
Awards, enterprise agreements and other registered agreements can provide entitlements for working public holidays, including public holiday rates or time in lieu.
